Are you starving for the next portion of big PlayStation news about Sony State of Play? Of course, you do! This event first revealed The Last of Us 2, presented us the first gameplay footage from the game Ghost of Tsushima, and showed the first trailers for Final Fantasy VII Remake. State of Play livestreams have been the biggest announcement droppers since 2019, so we can’t wait for the next event.

What Can We Expect From The Next Event?

Predicting the upcoming list of featured games is also quite difficult. The developer may decide to reveal more information on the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West, but we can’t guarantee that both titles don’t get separate events. For example, Sony has already showcased a 14-minute gameplay trailer for Horizon Forbidden West, so we should probably wait for the release date at the next event. Similar to Sony’s previous gaming event, the upcoming event may focus on smaller games, such as the PS5 exclusive Stray or Ghostwire: Tokyo. We also expect the developer to reveal more details on the PSVR 2 headset.

So When to Expect the Next State of Play?

The last PlayStation event took place on July 8 and revealed some new details on the upcoming Deathloop shooter and a few indies. Unfortunately, we don’t know when the next event will be. Sony will probably keep the date secret until the event’s eve. What we know for sure is that Sony won’t plan its event dates based on gaming shows by other brands. Besides, there will be at least 2 online shows until the end of the year.

Wait for Small

We should recommend you not to anticipate any big announcement on the next State of Play. This way, you will double your positive emotions if a AAA blockbuster comes out all of a sudden! What games do you think will headline the next event? Offer your list in the comments below, and don’t hesitate to share the article with other fans of Sony’s console.
