Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Features New Free Skins

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is where characters of popular franchises meet, even though they are not supposed to – like in the wildest of children’s fantasies. This game obviously follows the famous Super Smash Bros by Nintendo, but who cares as long as it’s fun? And now it will be even more fun, as the game is offering new skins for free.

The new upcoming DLC was confirmed in an announcement on Nickelodeon’s official Twitter account. The DLC will be purely cosmetic and won’t add new characters with new abilities or rebalance the game. Instead, it will change the appearance of existing characters in a new way. The DLC will be available for free for everyone who has the core game. The exact release date so far remains unknown.

Which exactly new costumes will the DLC feature? They say the DLC is in production, so the results may differ from anything you imagine. They will obviously be based on the Nickelodeon IP we already know, but they may as well introduce new elements simultaneously in their TV franchises and in the game. So far, they remain secret.

The only one that has been revealed so far belongs to SpongeBob SquarePants. Not that it seriously differs from the canonical appearance of the character: SpongeBob only wears his signature Soda Drink Hat, and that’s all. Other characters may change their appearance more radically, of course, if it corresponds with their original stories. Maybe it will also feature some Smurf characters after Nickelodeon acquired the franchise.
