The iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 updates released on September 20, 2021, introduced a vast load of cool features and enhancements. While nothing too earth-shattering, the new functionality is still sturdy, meaningful, and on-point. Here is a quick overview of the five best iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 features:

FaceTime

The slickest update has to do with the ability to create and share a web link to your FaceTime call. Now, you can invite people outside your iOS ecosystem – Android and Windows users – to join the conversation.

SharePlay

The most exciting feature of all, SharePlay, may come to our iPhones and iPads later this fall. When it finally arrives, we should be able to enjoy a shared remote video-watching or music-listening session with our friends on a FaceTime call.

iCloud+

With its new iCloud+ feature, Apple is once again confirming its commitment to ensuring top-notch user privacy. iCloud+ subscribers can now utilize a new privacy service called iCloud Private Relay that encrypts all outbound traffic and makes the web browsing experience more secure.

3D Maps

Apple has upgraded its Maps to include new cute 3D renderings of the best-known landmarks and buildings to make each location more realistic. This aesthetically pleasing enhancement to the traditional map view is currently available for a limited number of cities, but the company plans on expanding the functionality further.

Health App Updates

Apple’s Health app is now friendlier than ever thanks to the new Trends screen with recent activity and health status changes, the Walking Steadiness feature that tracks your balance, and the option to share your health data with whomever you like.

What do you make of the new iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 features? Which enhancements do you find the most helpful? Speak up in the comments, and do not forget to share the post with your friends!
